Electric Motors
Continuous power generation in electric motors creates significant heat—but ZeroJet solves this with an innovative closed-loop cooling system. The result: a lightweight motor with class-leading power-to-weight performance.
Optimised for lower RPM, our motor pairs perfectly with our in-house jet pump. Thanks to a direct-drive design with no gearbox, maintenance is minimal.
Jet Pump
Efficiency matters when going electric. ZeroJet’s custom-designed pump is perfectly matched to our in-house motors and tuned for small boats operating below 20 knots—where most time is actually spent on the water. It moves more weight at lower speeds than traditional jet systems, which are built for high-speed performance and lose efficiency when it matters most. ZeroJet delivers smooth, responsive thrust exactly where it’s needed.
Battery Packs and Battery Management System (BMS)
We chose the safest type of battery cell chemistry on the market for our system and use quality third-party Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries which are mounted in our in-house built waterproof cases for protection.
The Super B batteries in our systems are rated to 3,500 charge cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD). The 5 kWh battery pack (which can be split) weighs approximately 50 kg, and the 10 kWh pack (one brick) is around 100 kg.
Our BMS monitors current and throttle input for safe operation, provides critical information on battery health and performance to optimise energy usage, and monitors the battery’s temperature to ensure it stays within safe limits.
Helm and Console Throttle
SELECT SYSTEMS
ZeroJet’s side-mounted throttle pairs with wheel helm steering for a familiar, intuitive console setup. The throttle gives you full electronic control of motor speed and the jet reverse bucket through a single lever: push forward to go forward, pull back to lower the reverse bucket and go backward — simple.
A neutral lock prevents accidental movement, and the throttle can be mounted on either side of the console to suit your vessel’s layout.
Tiller
SELECT SYSTEMS
The ZeroJet tiller setup is ideal for smaller or open boats without a console, where space is limited. It can be mounted at any height or position on the transom, offering maximum flexibility, while quick-connect cables make installation simple.
The twist throttle and single-button reverse engagement make control easy and intuitive. Drivers can adjust tiller height for comfort and the kill cord attachment is conveniently located on top of the tiller for safety.
Cabling
To overcome corrosion, humidity & moisture, we use plastics, non-corrosive materials, & extremely high-quality IP-rated connectors that are easy to secure and release. We provide high quality cables to and from the battery boxes and the propulsion unit.
Display
The ZeroJet display screen is a 3.5-inch high-visibility interface designed for intuitive, at-a-glance control of the electric jet system. It provides real-time feedback on speed, battery status, and system diagnostics, all within a rugged, waterproof housing built for marine environments. Paired with a ZeroJet tiller or side-mounted throttle, it ensures effortless, informed operation of your boat.
Jet Units – Plug-and-Play Simplicity
ZeroJet electric jet units are factory-assembled and tested for easy integration. The compact motor and pump bolt directly to a single hull face—no sealant needed. All electrical components are pre-wired in-house, so no specialist expertise is required.
The onboard control unit manages all subsystems for safe operation, automatically entering safe mode with clear display alerts if an issue arises. Throttle, battery, and display connections are via waterproof IP67-rated CAN bus connectors. Just let us know your required cable lengths—we’ll handle the rest.
