Electric RIBs

As well as the general benefits of electric over combustion (no petrol or diesel emissions, less noise, fewer moving parts and less maintenance, and a faster start), there are several benefits for electric jets when compared to electric outboards:

▪ No exposed propeller for safer use in the water and safer swimming.

▪ With no outboard, the low profile means your RIB beaches easily and skims over shallow ecosystems.

▪ The compact profile also makes it better to stow and store in smaller spaces.

▪ The ZeroJet jet pump and electric motor are compact and integrated, giving you more space on the RIB.

The first boat we are launching is the E330, which is 3.3M long.

Highfield and ZeroJet have growth plans beyond this first model, with the roadmap including more powerful systems for larger RIBs, and additional features.

The ZeroJet system includes motor, jet pump, motor controller, reverse gear and integrated cooling. Each component is waterproofed to meet the requirements for a marine environment.

The batteries are 48V lithium iron phosphate and are housed inside a waterproof battery case.

We currently have a 40A charger available to purchase with the E330. The charger requires a 16A socket & AC 90-264V power source.

We don’t offer a customised electric system for RIBs. But if you are interested in customised boat features for your RIB then please contact Highfield.
