Selecting a helm/console or tiller

The ZeroJet tiller

Our tiller setup is perfect for smaller or open boats where maximising space is paramount. The tiller can be mounted at any height or distance on the transom and is not fixed to a certain location.  The throttle is a standard twist throttle, tiller height can be adjusted, and the reverse bucket lever is also located on the tiller.

Selecting Battery Packs 5kWh or 10.8 kWh

We use quality third-party Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries (the safest chemistry on the market), which are mounted in our custom-built waterproof cases for protection.

The 5 kWh battery pack (which can be split into 2 packs) weighs approximately 55 kg, and the 10 kWh pack (one brick) is around 95 kg. So while you get more kWh from the larger pack, it is also almost double the weight which will impact the performance on your boat. (See here for different layout options for the batteries based on your boat design).

The batteries include a Battery Management System which monitors the current and throttle input for safe operation, and measures battery temperature and critical information on battery health and performance to ensure safe operation.

The ZeroJet console throttle is an electronic and mechanical unit.

The ZeroJet helm and console throttle with traditional lever operation is an electronic and mechanical unit. The electrical output signal controls the speed of the motor for forward and reverse function, while the mechanical output of the throttle controls the lowering and lifting of the reverse bucket with a cable.

The throttle level has a neutral lock position to eliminate accidental movement, and the main power-on switch is located on the base of the unit, together with the kill cord attachment point. This assembly can be mounted on left or right side of console to best suit your vessel.

All ZeroJet electric jet systems come with jet unit (MA-001), Motor Control Module (MCM-MA-002) hub, and display (MA-009).
